November 13, 2002 - Plexus M/2 Receives Arc Award Printable Version Miami, Florida - The Association for Retarded Citizens, South Florida presented Plexus M/2 with its "Special Recognition Award" at its Annual President's Reception and Appreciation Evening. The event was held recently in the Bay View Ballroom of the Sheraton Biscayne Bay. The award was given to Plexus M/2 in appreciation for its active concern for the quality of life of individuals with mental retardation and other disabilities. Plexus M/2 is currently developing a new Web site for Arc that will serve as vital information and communications tool for the organization. The pro bono site is scheduled to launch in late November and will feature several interactive features. "The work that Plexus has done for us is outstanding," Barbara Swan, Arc's director of development told the audience. "It will be the best Arc Web site in the entire U.S.A.," she added. Representing Plexus M/2 were CEO Hal Martell and Hugh Moore, senior vice president. "It is our privilege to help those in the community who are helping those who cannot help themselves," Mr. Martell said upon accepting the award.
